Target group

The Master's degree course ISTAB MSc offers graduates of relevant Bachelor's degree courses in Biology and related science subjects the possibility of advanced study in current areas of practice-oriented "Life Sciences" [for further information see http://www.vdbiol.de/content/e1/e1128/e5519/e5762/filetitle/tiger_biotech_vdbiol.pdf]. Using the example of selected research topics, the aim of the Master's programme is to introduce graduates to the analysis and utilisation of biological systems at different hierarchy levels and thus to prepare them for research work or further academic qualifications.

First professional qualification in a relevant degree course (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Ecology or related course of study with a connection to Biology), applicants with a university degree and 180 ECTS are offered the opportunity to acquire the missing 30 ECTS (application for the winter semester), proof of required German language skills for applicants from abroad, English B2
