Annotation
The interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree course combines the teaching of economic, political and regional science knowledge and skills with training in the Chinese or Japanese language and qualifies graduates for careers related to East Asia in business, politics and civil society. The course focuses in particular on teaching various methods and subject areas of risk management that are used in companies as well as in state and civil society organisations. In the regional science part of the course, students study the economics and politics of China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. A core element of the course is the one-year study and work placement phase in East Asia. In the fifth semester, students complete a study semester at a partner university of Bremen University of Applied Sciences in the focus country (China or Japan). In the sixth semester, they complete a work placement in the focus country or another country in East Asia.
