The degree course Ergotherapy at the SRH University Heidelberg is one of the few accredited degree courses in Germany. The advantage of the occupational therapy degree course at the SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg lies in the combination of a scientifically-oriented degree course with practical training on patients. Students are taught fundamentals of medical and psychological and the occupational therapy content in a scientifically sound manner. Early contact with patients through internships provides students with practical skills and gives them an insight into their future professional life right at the beginning of their degree. With the Occupational Therapy degree course (B.Sc.), the path to research is possible in addition to patient care. We support you personally and continuously in achieving your goals. Based on our proven CORE principle, we have coordinated all learning objectives, forms of examination as well as teaching and learning methods for you in such a way that learning is fun and you achieve the best possible learning success. Digital teaching and learning content The use of digital elements in teaching is an essential component of our teaching and learning concept. Whether in virtual group rooms, chats with lecturers or in mobile learning apps, we will optimally prepare you for the demands of the modern working world. You will get to know a variety of digital tools and methods that are precisely tailored to the skills that will help you in your studies and later career. Communication platforms such as MS Teams or Zoom are integrated into your everyday study routine as a matter of course. Internationality The SRH University maintains a broad network of partnerships around the world to enable you to spend time studying abroad: In a semester abroad, an internship or in a summer school, you can gain unique experiences worldwide, which will bring you unforgettable experiences with lifelong friendships.

Admission requirements

To apply for the Bachelor’s degree programme in Ergotherapy, you will need: - general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (fachgebundenes Abitur) or - Subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or - At least two years of professional training and professional experience of at least three years, plus an aptitude test Successful passing of the selection procedure* - At least three-week pre-study work placement in the field of ergotherapy  - Curriculum vitae with current passport photo - Copy of identity document (front and back) or, for foreign students, copy of the national identity card  - Police clearance certificate - Medical certificate If you come from abroad, you can be admitted if you can provide us with a higher education entrance qualification through certificates of previous education and can prove German language skills (DSH or TestDaF examination) and if you have also successfully completed our selection procedure.

Tuition fees

EUR 490/month The monthly fee remains the same throughout the entire period of study. The one-off enrolment fee is EUR 750. If you come from a non-EEA country without a permanent residence permit, the enrolment fee is EUR 1,000 – you must pay tuition fees for a semester in advance.
