KIWi Connect

Events held in the KIWi Connect format are primarily aimed at international academic and research cooperation practitioners. They enable a peer-to-peer exchange of experiences on specific challenges in practical cooperation settings.
The content is usually inspired by specialist presentations from across the spectrum of KIWi subject areas. In addition, university representatives present good practical examples and introduce solutions that are transferable to other institutional contexts. Recently, a special focus fell on issues relating to dealing with "dual use", a subject that links with the KIWi focus areas of "risks and security" and "legal framework".
KIWi Connect also supports targeted matchmaking in order to facilitate the initiation of cooperation between German and foreign universities. This gives participants the opportunity to compare research interests and network with potential partners in a selected region. Examples of international networking through matchmaking are the KIWi Connect events on Water Resources Management with Iraq, Health Care with Ghana and Entrepreneurship with Jordan.
