DAAD climapAfrica Postdoc Fellow
WASCAL Competence center Ouagadougou
Burkina Faso
I come from Cote d’Ivoire (West Africa). From 2013 to 2016, I conducted intensive fieldwork on bee diversity and their ecosystem services in Burkina Faso for my PhD. In February 2017, I defended my thesis at the University of Abidjan ‘’with honors’’ in Agricultural entomology. Today, I focus my research on the interactions between bees, host plants, and various climate change scenarios. How to improve agricultural production by protecting pollinators (bees) in a changing climate? I am in favor of working with other experts worldwide to achieve sustainable protection of our ecosystems.
Climate change expertise and interests
Biodiversity conservation, Bee management (Crop auxiliaries), Adaptation of agricultural practices to the effects of climate change.

Professional career interests
Biodiversity conservation. Improvement of the most vulnerable populations' livelihood because of climate change. Ensuring food security and guaranteeing sustainable development.
I participate at climapAfrica because
the effects of climate change are already visible in Africa with the rainfall variations and the loss of biodiversity. It is an opportunity for me, through the platform provided for African researchers, to make my contribution to the search for solutions for the mitigation of existing effects.
