Welcome to the International Student Survey!

The International Student Survey was financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung– BMBF) and conducted by the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst – DAAD) in cooperation with the Bavarian State Institute for Higher Education Research and Planning (Bayerisches Staatsinstitut für Hochschulforschung und Hochschulplanung – IHF) in Munich and the distance learning university FernUniversität in Hagen.

In order to increase the motivation of the participants a variety of incentives were offered. After the first and the fourth survey, every participant received an Amazon voucher worth EUR 10. After each interim survey, there was a chance to win attractive prizes such as laptops, iPads and Amazon vouchers worth up to EUR 100. Participants who took part in the first, final and all the interim surveys additionally took part in a draw for 5 vouchers (e.g., travel vouchers, Amazon vouchers) worth EUR 1,000 each.
