Postdoc-NeT-AI fellows may apply for an exclusive short-term research funding, which allows them to conduct a research project in collaboration with a German host institution for a duration ranging from one and three months.

This offer primarily addresses individuals planning to realize a longer-term research stay in Germany and the funding may be used to bridge the gap until longer term funding can be made available.
Here are the key details:

Financial support:

• In case you already have a PhD, you will receive a sum of 2,800 EUR/month. Should you have not completed your PhD yet, the sum is 1,300 EUR/month.
• The host institution will receive 3,300 EUR/month, ensuring ample resources for your research endeavors.
• Travel allowance for a round-trip ticket (the exact amount depends on your country of residence).
• Health, nursing care, accident, and personal liability insurance for the whole period of your stay in Germany.

Requirements: 

• You have previously been a selected fellow of the DAAD Postdoc-NeT-AI programme.
• You are already in contact with a German host institution.
• You have a specific research project in the field of Artificial Intelligence to be conducted in collaboration with a German host institution during your research stay.
• The proposed research project should be part of a broader, long-term cooperation plan.
• The short-term research funding can only be used once.
