Annotation
General information: The aim of the interdisciplinary Master’s degree course "Peace and Conflict Research" is to provide you with analytical and practical qualifications in the field of peace and conflict research. This includes, in particular, the ability to analyse conflicts according to their subject matter, course, causes and actors and to develop perspectives for the pacification, management or resolution of conflicts. The content of the degree course focuses on political conflicts in global society. The primary methods used in the courses are role play and simulation games, scenario development, small group work, workshops and enactments. The study programme includes an international work placement, events in English, interdisciplinary research seminars and a transdisciplinary conflict management exercise. Research focuses: The content of the Master’s degree programme in "Peace and Conflict Research" focuses on the processing and peaceful management of conflicts, especially potentially dangerous conflicts that take place within or between states. The international and global environment of these conflicts plays a special role.
