Admission requirements
Studying the subject English/American Studies in a teacher training course as a major subject, a subsidiary subject or as a teaching subject requires good linguistic proficiency, corresponding for example to the standard of an advanced course in English as a foreign language during the last 2 years of gaining a certificate for entrance to higher education. A formal proof is however, subject to the final legal examination, no longer required from winter semester 2012/13 onwards.
