The Bachelor's degree course "Fashion and Textile Design" is an undergraduate degree course leading to the degree Bachelor of Arts, in which two specialisations are offered: Fashion Design or Textile Design/ Material & Surface Design. The aim of the Bachelor's degree course in Textile Design/Fashion Design is to train designers to work on conceptual design and development in the following areas:

- Textile industry
- Companies in the fashion industry
- Interior design or property furnishing
- Material design of interior - accessories in architecture and transportation
- Colour and material design in the consumer goods sector
- Independent designers

The degree course also qualifies students to work in product development for retail companies as well as for designers, in workshops or design studios, for the above-mentioned fields.

Whoever can demonstrate the required artistic talent takes part in the award procedure. The artistic suitability is demonstrated on the basis of the portfolio pre-selection and the entrance examination.

As part of the portfolio pre-selection, admission to the entrance exam is decided.

Information regarding the portfolio:

1. Portfolio size

max. 80 cm x 100 cm. Larger folders, rolls and bulky containers are NOT accepted. It is not possible to submit the artistic work in digital form.

2. Contents of the portfolio

at least 15, max. 25 artistic works (originals) included. Photos of sculptures and large-format works can be included.

Interest in various artistic techniques
Colour and material perception
Abstraction capability
Imagination and creativity
