Annotation
The course is offered by the musicology seminar of the University of Paderborn in Detmold. There is a cooperation with the Hochschule für Musik Detmold for the artistic parts.
Admission requirements
Specialisation in Artistic/Musical Education (only starts in the winter semester): Skills capable of development on a musical instrument or in singing as well as a level of musical knowledge that is at least equivalent to that of an upper secondary school advanced level course (advanced level subject, elective subject) in the subject of Music must be demonstrated by passing an aptitude test. Specialisation in Music Theatre Studies (starts in the summer and winter semester): Foreign language proficiency (English, French, Italian, Latin) and good knowledge of general music theory are recommended. Those who do not fulfil these recommendations have the opportunity to acquire the appropriate knowledge and skills independently at the beginning of their studies.
