Target group

Graduates of cultural and social sciences, psychology, philosophy, sociology, ethnology, art and media studies as well as other relevant fields, including interdisciplinary degree courses (such as Cultural Studies, Gender Studies, Postcolonial Studies, Religious Studies) with an interest in the depth dimension of cultural processes.

Annotation

The full-time course will start for the first time in the winter semester 2025/2026 with a strong focus on practical, career-related components. Related doctoral opportunities are available. The Hans Kilian and Lotte Köhler Centre for Social and Cultural Psychology and Historical Anthropology, which will be headquartered at the IPU in the winter semester 2025/26, will be involved in the curriculum of the degree programme. The KKC is guided by criteria of scientific excellence and is committed, among other things, to the promotion of young talent at Master’s and doctoral level.

Admission requirements

The basic prerequisite is a university-level degree (master's, diploma, state examination, bachelor's) in civilisation studies, the humanities, social science, health science or an artistic field. The IPU Admissions Board adjudicates on exceptional cases. A personal selection interview is conducted with each and every applicant.
