In addition to English proficiency, German proficiency at level A2 must be demonstrated If you start the Master’s in Data Science with a Bachelor’s degree comprising 180 ECTS, you take the 120 ECTS option. If you start the Master’s in Data Science with a Bachelor’s degree comprising 210 ECTS, you can choose whether you take the 90 or 120 ETCS option of the Master’s degree course.

Admission requirements

Completion of a university degree in Computer Science or a related subject at a German university or comparable university abroad. The scope of this degree course must be at least 180 or 210 credits according to German standards, i.e. applicants with a degree course from abroad must proof a degree course equivalent to a German academic course of at least three years or three and a half years. The grade point average must be 2.5 or better. Successful proof of aptitude for the subject is provided in the form of an aptitude test conducted by the department.
