Annotation

The degree course in Nursing - Advanced Practice Nursing (MSc) qualifies graduates to become clinical nursing experts, in research-based, value-based and living-environment-oriented nursing care on the basis of the current state of science and practice in the healthcare sector (evidence-based nursing practice).
The degree course offers you the opportunity to expand, deepen and specialise your nursing practice at an academic level. It will prepare you to manage and design life-world-oriented nursing processes, nursing needs development, care processes and decision-making processes in the healthcare sector, such as highly complex diseases or the care of special patient groups. As an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), you will work as a highly qualified nurse in various nursing care situations – such as with acute, psychiatric and chronic diseases, in clinical and outpatient care up to long-term care. Through your advanced skills, you will be able to take a holistic, patient-centred approach to caring for people in complex, unstable and unpredictable care situations.

Furthermore, as an APN, you will be able to conduct scientific research, pass on your knowledge to colleagues and thus contribute to the further development of the nursing profession.

The 4-semester Master’s degree programme effectively combines practice and science. A practice-oriented, flexible and target group-oriented curriculum enables intensive learning and allows students to balance their studies with their careers.
