The promotion Bachelor's degree is an accredited Bachelor's degree course and it gives credit points for the period of the preparatory stage for career track group 1 as well as practical experience. The course is completed by a Laufbahnprüfung (career track examination), during which the police officers are granted the degree of Bachelor of Arts - Law Enforcement Service.

Admission requirements

Training within the administration. No direct application at the higher education institution. You can apply if Civil servants in Law Enforcement within career track group 1 may apply for promotion to career track group 2 if the following apply: they have been employed in the service for at least three years after the probation period; their last regular assessment was at least "good"; they can provide evidence of two long-term assignments in different posts; they have a school education which entitles them to study at a university.
