Studying Diversity: The Socio-Cultural Studies (M.A.) degree course combines an interdisciplinary understanding of the social sciences with a cultural-scientific orientation. Students study the socio-cultural transformation processes of late modern society on a global, national and local level. The degree programme focuses on migration processes, contemporary urban cultures, gender studies or the complex of topics involving politics, religion and culture. Learning foreign languages and pursuing and international dual degree Université Paris 8 in France offer the opportunity to gain intercultural experience as well as to establish an international personal network. A vibrant international and multilingual culture is an integral part of the cross-border campus life at the European University Viadrina in the German-Polish twin city of Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice.

Admission requirements
Professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree comprising at least 180 ECTS points. Proof of 30 ECTS credits related to the social sciences English language skills (B2 CEFR) Please note that French language skills (B2 CEFR) must also be demonstrated for the international double degree with the University of Paris 8.
