• Standard application procedure

  Application requirements
  Students of the University of Göttingen, students of the HAWK Hildesheim / Holzminden faculty of Göttingen, students of the Göttingen private colleges and students of the University of Kassel's consecutive Master's Programm "Sustainable International Agriculture" in cooperation with the University of Göttingen are eligible for student housing.

  Application deadline
  Apply as early as possible because the rooms are allocated according to the waiting list. The earlier your application is received by the Studentenwerk, the greater the likelihood of you getting a room. With your application you are under no obligation, i.e. you can withdraw your application at any time, be put back on the waiting list, or move to a different type of accommodation. After moving in please hand in your Certificate of Enrolment i.e. you can apply without a letter of admission from the university or a certificate of enrolment.

  Application
  You can apply online. You then receive a confirmation link per e-mail which you must click on. Only then the Studentenwerk can put you onto the waiting list. Only one application can be sent. Double applications will not be considered and will be deleted.

• Exchange students (e.g. Erasmus-/ Exchange programme)

  If you are an Erasmus+ and partnership student or a double degree (dual-enrolment) or Erasmus Mundus student, you can apply directly for a room in a student dormitory with the university's Accommodation Service. Studierendenwerk offers a limited number of rooms for the students enrolled in these programmes at the University of Göttingen. For these students it is not possible to apply directly to the Studentenwerk for housing.
