This brand-new building in the city centre B6 is built in a hybrid-wooden-modular construction as a KfW energy-efficient house and consumes less energy than it produces via its own photovoltaic system. The construction project, which will join the new buildings already constructed in the B6 area for the University of Mannheim and the GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, will make on-campus living, which is already being successfully practiced in many countries, also possible in Mannheim.
