  Application requirements
  Students studying at the following universities are eligible for accommodation:

  - Evangelische Fachhochschule Ludwigsburg
  - Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg Ludwigsburg
  - Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart
  - Hochschule Esslingen
  - Hochschule für öffentliche Verwaltung und Finanzen
  Ludwigsburg
  - Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart
  - Pädagogische Hochschule Ludwigsburg
  - Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart
  - Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst
  Stuttgart
  - Universität Stuttgart
  - Hochschule für Kommunikation und Gestaltung
  - Merz Akademie – Hochschule für Gestaltung, Kunst
  und Medien
  - Internationale Studien- und Berufsakademie Stuttgart
  
  People who do not qualify:
  - Students who already have university degrees
  - Students of age 30 or over at the beginning of their studies, unless eligible for BAföG funding
  - Students who have already completed the maximum period of residence in a publicly funded student hall of residence.

  Application deadline
  If you qualify to apply for accommodation in one of the halls of residence, you should look for a suitable place and then apply to the Studierendenwerk Stuttgart as early as possible.

• DAAD scholarship holders

  DAAD scholarship holders should please send a copy of their scholarship certificate to the International Office via e-mail (incoming@ia.uni-stuttgart.de) and will then receive further instructions.

• Programme students from partner universities

  For programme students from partner universities, contingents are available in the student residences. Erasmus, overseas, and double degree students will receive further information on the application process from their respective advisors at the International Office.
