Application requirements
Students enrolled at the state universities are generally entitled to live in the halls of residence managed by the Studierendenwerk:
- Potsdam University of Applied Sciences
- Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF
- Brandenburg University of Technology
- Wildau University of Applied Sciences
- University of Potsdam

The housing entitlement only applies to students if the course is a first degree programme:
- Bachelor
- Master's degree
- Diploma
- State examination

Application deadline
Applications can be submitted at the earliest six months before the start of the following semester and are only valid for the semester applied for. Applications for the respective winter semester are possible from the middle to the end of April. Applications for the respective summer semester are possible from the middle to the end of October of the previous year. The exact dates will be communicated in advance on the website.
Housing places are allocated according to the chronological order of receipt of the application and if there is free capacity in the desired housing complexes.

Applications can only be made online via the Studierendenwerk West:Brandenburg website and must be completed according to the university location online application forms. An automatic confirmation of receipt of the application will follow.
The residential complex has two wheelchair-accessible flats.

In order to ensure a balanced resident structure in the halls of residence, the allocation of accommodation is based on assessment criteria, quotas and quotas. The Studierendenwerk reserves the right to deviate from this in individual cases in order to ensure the creation and maintenance of socially stable housing structures. If there are several applications per place of accommodation, the allocation is based on the
evaluation of the following criteria:
- Receipt of the application (date of receipt of application)
- Starting semester (1st to 2nd semester)
- International students (with residence outside Germany)
