KIWi Lab

KIWi Lab is an explorative learning format that has a workshop character and takes place in small groups. The format allows trends and topics relating to international academic cooperation to be identified in dialogue with experts.

The DAAD uses this opportunity to obtain feedback from its target groups and to further develop the KIWi information and counselling services in line with demand. The confidential nature of KIWi Labs means that sensitive issues can also be addressed openly, positions can be carefully developed and solutions can be discussed together. KIWi Labs are therefore also used for determining the position on new challenges facing academic cooperation. These may include realigning cooperative relationships with partners in close cooperation with experts and developing corresponding positions for DAAD papers or programme proposals. Corresponding workshop discussions using the KIWi Lab format were recently held on topics such as cooperation agreement data protection issues, regional strategies at universities and international cooperation in the context of cooperative doctorates.
