Four alumni in discussion

What do DAAD alumni have to say about Europe? What innovative ideas do they have for the future of Europe? In the period of the German EU Council Presidency (second half of the year 2020), the DAAD has started to set up various alumni activities to make the ideas and impulses of its alumni visible and to promote networking and exchange among DAAD alumni from all over Europe.

The following alumni activities have taken place or are still to come: Closing event "Setting Out for the Future - How can we Drive Europe Forward?"Alumni event "Shaping Europe - Strengthening Europe: Ideas for Europe" (inauguration event in 2020, closing ceremony expected to take place in 2022), EU ideas labs (2020/2021), video campaign "An Idea for Europe". The hybrid alumni event 17-19 March 2022 was the finale and highlight of the alumni activities with an EU context.

EU Ideas Labs
In a total of eight EU Ideas Labs, alumni from 13 EU countries and the Western Balkans developed ideas on topics particularly important for the future of the EU.
