The DAAD defines DAAD alumni as individuals who have verifiably received at least three months of individual funding from the DAAD. Some DAAD alumni services are also targeted at alumni of German universities and so-called "Germany alumni", i.e. individuals who have lived, studied or conducted research in Germany. The alumni programmes each have their own specific criteria. There are also special offers for DAAD alumni associations and German universities.
