Special features regarding the library

Locations: The Library of the University of Applied Sciences Europe is a specialized scientific library, currently represented at three locations; Berlin, Hamburg, Iserlohn.; Stock: Total stock of 21,000+ print editions and e-books. Other digital resources: Hogrefe PsyJournals (2,000 e-journals), Springer & Elsevier (2,800 e-journals each), Wiley (1,700 e-journals), Statista; Services: The library is available as a lending library to all members of the university and to external interested parties as a reference library. Access to a comprehensive collection of digital publications and printed literature is provided, as well as support in the development of research skills and how to handle citation. In addition, well-equipped study rooms are available, and numerous workshops and events are offered to promote academic success.

Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, German as a Foreign Language, Turkish, Japanese, Spanish, French and many other languages are also regularly offered via Rosetta Stone. Exchange students participating in Erasmus+ funded programmes have the opportunity to participate in online language courses (OLS). Other language courses for exchange students vary depending on the host university.

Special features regarding university sports

The university does not have its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the university sports programme for Berlin. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. On the Berlin campus the students can participate for a fee in the Berlin university sports programme. Here, they participate in the university leagues (basketball, football). At the campus in Iserlohn, students have access to their own sports hall for university sports free of charge. In addition, a student department takes care of a balanced sports programme in Hamburg. There are also preventative health care programmes funded by TK as well as well-being & resilience workshops. The UE is also an official university partner of Borussia Dortmund (BVB).
