The University of Ansbach has various state-of-the-art laboratories and technical infrastructure that support teaching and cooperative research. Students use them for their coursework, project work and theses and to conduct research projects. Day-to-day work is carried out in small groups. High level of practical orientation thanks to a practical semester, project work, participation in research projects, equipment sponsorships, lecture-accompanying practicals and practice-oriented application examples in the courses

Both the library and the individual degree courses allow students free access to e-books, international standards and databases. Numerous subject-specific software products are available as campus licences.

The following research fields are located in the Faculty of Technology: Energy, sustainability & resource efficiency; Bio- & MedTech, Health Management; Plastics, surfaces and new materials; Artificial intelligence, automation, digitalisation, & management. Various research projects are carried out in these areas (including in cooperation with companies).
