To be admitted to the Master’s degree programme through the standard procedure, you need a Bachelor’s degree in Media Informatics or a related subject.

Annotation

The aim of this degree course is to teach advanced methods of media informatics. The Master’s degree programme focuses on the scientific profile of media informatics in Regensburg: software engineering for interactive systems, IT project management, digital humanities, usability engineering, interaction techniques and technologies, as well as interactive information and assistance systems. The degree course offers students the opportunity to acquire practical skills as well as to pursue in-depth, research-oriented studies.

Admission requirements

Certificate of academic degree or equivalent academic degree amounting to 180 credit points with an average grade of at least "good" (2.5) in Media Informatics or a related subject, especially Information Science, Computer Science and Business Informatics
Knowledge in the areas of Practical Informatics amounting to 12 credit points, Media Engineering amounting to 12 credit points, Usability Engineering amounting to 8 credit points.
At the time of application, applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge amounting to at least 16 CP in the aforementioned areas; Any gaps in knowledge can be acquired by the end of the second semester from teaching units of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree programme at the University of Regensburg; The modules and/or courses to be completed for this purpose are determined by the Examination Board.
