The combination of linguistic and professionally-oriented or application-related modules qualifies you for numerous communication professions. The main focus of the major is on the acquisition of linguistic knowledge that enables you to analyse language and communication in a wide range of areas and contexts. You can deepen your knowledge in four exciting areas: speech science and dialogue research, text linguistics and pragmatics, language history and language variation as well as psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics. In the case of a semester abroad, there is the possibility of taking modules at a foreign university via "Studium International" and having them credited.
