Annotation

In an increasingly internationally networked economy, intercultural competence is almost equal to business administration competence. The interlinking of economic methods and knowledge with intercultural content helps with the assured movement in the different economic systems of the world, to meet foreign cultures with understanding and openness and to develop new, interdisciplinary solutions to problems. The speciality of the course "Intercultural Business Administration / Intercultural Business Studies" lies in the combined training in Business Administration and intercultural modules of other departments. The training in Business Administration includes a specialisation in Accounting and Finance, Market-oriented Corporate Management or Information and Innovation Management, which corresponds to that of the Master's degree in Business Administration. The Master's programme "Intercultural Business Administration / Intercultural Business Studies" therefore offers in-depth Business Administration training. In addition, at least 24 and a maximum of 36 CP are acquired in intercultural modules from other departments. In addition, modules of 18 CP are designed in such a way that they combine Business Administration and Inter-culturality. These special modules are created especially for the course and cannot be taken by students of other courses. The course also includes the innovative element of the project phase. In the "Industry-oriented project phase", students act as business consultants and help practice to solve problems from the international / intercultural area, for example how to work together effectively in intercultural teams. In the “Research-oriented project phase”, students participate in business problems with an intercultural focus, for example when answering the question of whether different national and cultural backgrounds have an impact on risk behaviour in companies. Finally, the Master's thesis combines the focus of Business Administration with intercultural issues.
