How do technical change processes affect everyday actions? How does memory form in the absence of contemporary witnesses? What explanations can be found historically for current positions on wage labour? By which means do YouTubers present themselves when telling their immigration stories? In the minor subject of Empirical Cultural Studies you can investigate cultural phenomena of everyday life in the past and present in all of their facets. Learn the scientific tools to be able to identify, describe and interpret cultural processes. Theoretically, but also in a project-related manner using qualitative methods, you can independently explore research topics and communicate about them in a public-oriented manner.
