Annotation

The Bachelor’s course in Physics creates a broad basis for an in-depth study of physics itself or a specialisation in a physics itself or a specialisation in physics-related fields, such as nanotechnology. The fundamental principles of physics are supplemented with courses in mathematics and a wide range of secondary subjects (e.g. computer science, biology, chemistry, economics, philosophy), which allows students to specialise beyond physics. Why study in Constance? - special mentorship programme at the start of studies provided by university teachers - "Open Door Policy": Flexible office hours and individual advice provided by teachers - Seminars and tutorials in small groups with intensive support - New paths in teaching, such as ‘integrated courses’ with optimised teaching contents - Broad-based range of secondary subjects - Numerous contacts with research centres in Germany and abroad allow for external Bachelor’s theses at national and international institutes - Key research focus on condensed matter -> a topic of broad fundamental and technological significance The two-semester orientation course Go.MINt can optionally be taken before this degree programme and thus becomes an integral part of this degree programme; Upon successful completion of the orientation course, the individual standard period of study for the degree programme increases to eight semesters. For more information, see uni.kn/gomint. An introduction to the degree course will be provided at the study days in March (www.uni.kn/studientage) or at the online study information day in mid-November (www.uni.kn/online-studieninformationstag).
