Graduates with an above-average Bachelor's degree (grade 2.5 or better) in History, Arabic Studies, Archaeology, Islamic Studies, Romance Studies, Ottoman Studies, Mediterranean Regional Studies (e.g. Mediterranean Studies or Middle Eastern Studies), Literary and Media Studies, Ethnology and Sociology or Political Science.

Annotation

The programme includes a mandatory study semester abroad OR an internship (5 months).

Admission requirements

Admission to the Master's degree course 'Mediterranean History' requires proof of a degree with a grade of at least 'good' (2.5) in a course of study lasting at least three years at a state or state-recognised university or university of cooperative education in the subject of History or a subject related to the Bachelor's degree course 'History' at the University of Konstanz, e.g. Historiography, Arabic Studies, Archaeology, Islamic Studies, Romance Studies, Ottoman Studies, Mediterranean Regional Studies (e.g. Mediterranean Studies or Middle Eastern Studies), Literary and Media Studies, Ethnology and Sociology, Political Science. Another admission requirement is proof of English language proficiency at level B2 (CEFR).
