Annotation

Anyone who is able to rise from a frog's perspective into a bird's eye view opens up the possibility of a holistic approach. Under the auspices of the globally operating Industry 4.0, not only the supplier, producer and customer sides are increasingly networking, but also product development, production & marketing and distribution. Continuing education courses are designed as career-integrated degree courses. Formal enrolment for part-time studies is not possible in this degree course in accordance with the Hessian Enrolment Ordinance. In doing so, areas such as computer science and communication are steadily gaining in importance. Incoming or already active managers who have an overview of these complex industrial processes and systems and who know how to adjust them are clearly advantageous. The Master's degree programme Industrial Production Management, which is conducted at the UNIKIMS, the Management School of the University of Kassel, is dedicated to these target groups and learning objectives. The career-integrated Master's degree programme in Industrial Product Management, which starts in the summer semester, is designed for five semesters and is subject to a fee. Prerequisites for students are a certificate of academic degree and professional experience in the field of production or logistics. In order to meet the special needs of working students, the degree course offers manageable teaching units, some of which are to be worked on at home, some online and some during the classroom phases on weekends. E-learning tools offer innovative opportunities for exchange and, in combination with individual support, create an efficient learning environment. The classroom phases extend to 60 days on 20 weekends. In order to set up a factory and to plan production, it is important to keep an eye on the individual facets of a big picture, which are important for the understanding and management of industrial processes and systems. These include technology, quality, human resources, IT and costs. After a thorough introduction to the basic introduction of Industrial Production Management, the course content therefore ranges from Technology in Production and Logistics to Quality Management, Business Administration and Digital Transformation to Information Technology. On successful completion, the University of Kassel awards the academic degree "Master of Science".
