The degree course is aimed at people with a first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree in Degree courses in the fields of History, Political Science, Social Science or subject-related study programmes and equivalent to a Bachelor's degree amounting to 180 credits at a university or equivalent higher education institution in Germany or abroad.

Admission requirements

The subject related requirement is proof of study achievements in the field of history, political science or sociology amounting to at least 60 credit points and a final grade of at least "good" or better. Furthermore, English languages skills at level B2 are required. International applicants must provide proof of German language proficiency at the level of the DSH examination (min. level 2), the TestDaF (TDN 4x4) or a recognised equivalent.
