Admission requirements

A subject related requirement is proof of a degree in the field of engineering or natural sciences, in particular computer science, mathematics, bioinformatics, business informatics or business mathematics. At least 21 credit points in linear algebra, analysis, stochastics and numerics and at least 18 credit points in programming, algorithms and data structures are required. In principle, an interest in interdisciplinary contexts and a corresponding degree of prior interdisciplinary knowledge in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences or engineering is expected. A very good knowledge of English is also indispensable for the course. International applicants must provide proof of German language proficiency at the level of the DSH examination (min. level 2), the TestDaF (TDN 4x4) or a recognised equivalent.
