The following subject combinations are provided for the Bachelor's degree course for Teaching Qualification (Special Schools): - - Special needs education discipline I (Emotional and Social Development or Learning) - - Special needs education discipline II (one of the special needs education disciplines I not already selected or one of the following disciplines: Mental Development, Hearing and Communication, Physical and Motor Development, Language) - - Teaching subject I or learning area I (TS Mathematics, TS German, LA Basic Education in Mathematics or LA Basic Education in Language) - Teaching subject II (Biology, Chemistry, German, English, French, Art, Mathematics, Music, Physics, Protestant or Catholic Religious Education or learning area II (LA Aesthetic Education, LA Basic Education in Mathematics, LA Natural and Social Sciences, LA Basic Education in Language) Sport can be studied at the German Sport University as teaching subject II. Proof of successful completion of the aptitude test must be submitted upon enrolment for Art, Music and Sport. All special education subjects, the teaching subjects Biology, Chemistry, German, English and Mathematics, as well as the learning areas Aesthetic Education, Basic Mathematics Education, Natural and Social Science and Basic Language Education are subject to local admission restrictions at the University of Cologne.
