You will receive two degrees: A professional degree as a midwife/obstetric nurse and the university degree Bachelor of Science. You will acquire the professional qualification after three years (six semesters) and the Bachelor's degree after four years (eight semesters).

Admission requirements

You must have a general higher education entrance qualification (Allgemeine Hochschulreife) (school leaving certificate giving right of entry to higher education (Abitur)) and a training contract for midwifery at a practice partner contracted with the University of Lübeck beginning in the next possible winter semester. Additionally, at least a four-week placement in an area of activity related to midwifery.
