Graduates of the Fachakademien für Übersetzen und Dolmetschen in Bavaria, who have obtained the State Examination for Translation/Interpreting and a BA degree by way of an external examination

Graduates of the internal university BA degree in Translation as well as graduates of comparable degree courses in translation, provided that they can demonstrate proficiency in the foreign language.

Graduates of national and international BA degree courses, with specialisation in Translation and/or Interpreting

Graduates of BA degree courses not related to Translation, provided that they can demonstrate proficiency in the foreign language.

Basic language (A-language, usually the native language)
1 active language (B-language, applies to all specialisations) and
additionally 1 passive foreign language (C-language, only for the specialisation Conference Interpreting)

In principle, the following language skills are required for the course:

• A language (German or Chinese): Knowledge at C2 level (CEFR)
• B language (Chinese or German): receptive and productive competence at C1 level (CEFR)
• C language (English for all students): receptive competence at B2 level (CEFR)
