Admission requirements

Interested parties without a higher education entrance qualification, but who have completed vocational training and then have at least two years of professional experience can be admitted to study as a guest student with an entrance examination. The entrance exam consists of two exams, which are specifically designed for this purpose and which check the ability to study. The exams are written in the modules "Introduction to Social Work and Social Work Sciences" and "Introduction to the Health System and Health Sciences". Interested parties without a university entrance qualification, but with a recognised advanced training examination, can acquire the university entrance qualification at the HFH via a counselling interview pursuant to Section 37 (2) of Hamburg Act on Higher Education (HmbHG). A continuing education examination can be recognised if it corresponds in terms of content and form to a Master's or specialist degree. This can be advanced further training or specialised continuing development.
