Annotation

In our Bachelor's degree course in Product Development and Technical Design, you will learn to design and further develop technologically oriented products – consumer goods such as household items or motor vehicles, but also capital goods such as technical systems that are used for production themselves. You will also acquire the knowledge of how to control such development processes. Your study content includes techniques of computer-aided development, design and industrial design as well as material and manufacturing techniques. With your internationally recognised certificate of academic degree as a "Bachelor of Engineering", you have excellent career prospects. Product developers, technical product designers or product managers who control production cycles are sought after in many industries – including aerospace engineering, the field of renewable energies, the automotive industry or medical technology. Because product development is a team matter, you are likely to work closely with colleagues from other disciplines. In smaller companies, product developers often take on broad areas of responsibility, while in large companies they usually work in a more specialized manner.
