Target group

The course consists of three types of modules: 1) from regional science modules consisting of seminars on politics and society in Greater China and Japan \; 2) from social science modules, in which lectures and seminars provide the analytical tools to deal with the target regions \; 3) Specialist modules, in which the specialist language Chinese or Japanese are spoken and written. The course thus offers a comprehensive overview of political and social developments in Japan and Greater China \; the investigation of internal and intraregional areas of conflict \; the analysis of regionalization and integration trends in East Asia \; systematic training in dealing with Japanese or Chinese-language sources, as well as the teaching of translation techniques and language courses
