Basketball is considered one of the fastest sports in the world and requiresteam spirit, tactical skills and coordination as well as mental strength. It is the "game of runs", in which, even when a team is in the lead and believes it is safe, the other team can equalize and take the lead in the blink of an eye. The constant back and forth between success and failure is part of basketball and requires constant tactical manoeuvring and reactions. In this dynamic process, coacheshave an important role to play. In the competition, they have to rely on the right players, make clever decisions and stop the runs of the opposing team. Off the field, they prepare for and evaluate competitions, as well as having additional tasks: strengthening team spirit, assessing and managing the performance of individual players, promoting young talent and much more. In short: Successfully coaching basketball teams is a complex process requiring up-to-date, interdisciplinary and sound training. All this knowledge is taught in the Bachelor's degree course in Sports Science, specialisation Coaching Basketball in cooperation with ALBA BERLIN.
