The consecutive master's program 'Transnational Journalism' focuses on the professional field of journalists and at the same time on the requirements of a scientific Master's program. Completed specialist studies are required as the basis of the Journalistic study program because they provide the prospective journalist or future journalists with a wealth of knowledge in a scientific field on which he or she can build up his or her professional activity. The application-oriented Master's program is designed to empower aspiring journalists for methodological, scholarly work and enable them to overcome purely national interpretive patterns in their reporting, to contribute to the discussion of topics of European relevance in national contexts and to establish interpretive frameworks beyond their own limits.
