Annotation

In the research-oriented Master's degree programme, you specialise in at least one of the department’s areas of focus and are introduced to current research. In addition, you have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of minor subjects or to gain in-depth mathematical knowledge in areas that you have only touched on in your Bachelor's degree. Semesters abroad and work placements are also possible.

Admission requirements

1. Completion of a degree course lasting at least 3 years at a university or a state or state-recognised university of cooperative education in Mathematics or a related subject (Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic degree). 2. Evidence of graded courses in modules, that cover 1.) the content of the basic modules Analysis, Linear Algebra and Practical Mathematics and 2.) the content of the advanced modules Algebra, Analysis and Numerics and Stochastics in the Bachelor's degree course in Mathematics at the University of Konstanz. 3. Passing the admission test Applicants who have obtained 1. the Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Konstanz or an equivalent degree and 2. fulfil requirement no. 2 are exempted from the entrance examination. 4. For applicants from abroad who lack a German higher education entrance qualification: Proof of knowledge of German in accordance with the regulations of the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
