AIMS_Siyakhula1

Dear colleagues of the AIMS network,

We are pleased to share the 6th edition of the DAAD-AIMS newsletter, providing updates on recent activities and research achievements within our network.

We are particularly delighted to feature an inspiring interview with Dr. Sabrine Chebbi, a current scholarship holder, who shares her experiences and insights from her DAAD AIMS journey.

You will find highlights from three workshops held in different locations: in Bonn, involving AIMS Ghana and Universitätsklinikum Bonn; in Bielefeld, involving AIMS Senegal and the University of Bielefeld; and in Ilmenau, involving AIMS Rwanda and Ilmenau University of Technology. Additionally, DAAD had the opportunity to visit Bielefeld University to conduct an exclusive interview about their cooperation.

Moreover, we share numerous publications and upcoming events from AIMS Rwanda and Goethe University, as well as AIMS Senegal and Bielefeld University, showcasing the successful cooperation between these partners.

Lastly, we celebrated the 12th anniversary of the BMBF's AIMS programme during the German Research Days at the Siyakhula event, held at AIMS South Africa from March 17-22, 2024. You can enjoy some insights from the event through the photo gallery at the end of this newsletter.

Enjoy reading, stay in touch, and all the best for the upcoming months!
