Global Centres Conferences 2024
From 10-12 September 2024 the Mid-Term Conferences of the DAAD Global Centres take place in Berlin. All necessary information regarding participation, programme and organisational issues can be found here.
After a successful opening conference in September 2022, 2024 marks the year for the Global Centres Mid-Term Conference. This time, the Centres for Climate and Environment and the Centres for Health and Pandemic Preparedness will mainly have separate conferences, that take place simultaneously and will have common parts.
- Conference of the Centres for Climate and Environment: "Imaginaries of Climate Futures - Cross Regional Insights to get from Knowledge to Action" and
- Conference of the Centres for Health and Pandemic Prevention: "Global Actions for Sustainable Health for People and Planet"
The aim of the conferences is fostering the networks of the Centres and similar initiatives, and to offer a global, interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge in the two subject areas of Global Health/Pandemic Prevention and Climate/Environment. On this website interested parties can find all necessary information on the conferences. The website will be constantly updated.

The Conferences take place from 10-12 September 2024 at Tagungswerk, Lindenstraße 85, 10969 Berlin.
All participants received an infokit with relevant information on the logistical details to the conferences (registration, travel, accomodation). The infokits can be found below:

The conference is dedicated to PhD students, Postdocs, junior and senior academics as well as research-active practitioners related to one of the DAAD-funded Global Centres and their partner networks, or from other DAAD-funded projects working in the field of climate and environment / health and pandemic prevention as well as the Humboldt Research Hubs (AvH).
