Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. University sports promote social life at universities. They are an important element of health promotion and personality development. Our students may participate in sports programmes and continuing education courses offered by our partner universities. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. University sports get the university moving outdoors. Not only on campus, in the lecture hall and at our own sports facilities, but also beyond. With us, you can experience the Harz region and nature up close. Students, employees and teaching staff alike appreciate the varied sports programme, consisting of around 60 sports at present. Sailing in summer, snowboarding and skiing in winter, fitness, swimming, beach volleyball, a private boathouse and much more. We look forward to welcoming you!
