Special features regarding the library
Locations: The library is located on the 2nd floor of the building Gesundheitscampus 6.; Services: The University of Health Sciences Bochum has a reference-only and lending library with a large stock of specialist and in-depth literature as well as access to numerous online resources. In addition to textbooks, compulsory readings and journals are available. The stock is constantly growing and the existing online databases are further expanded. The library rooms offer an optimal atmosphere for exam preparation thanks to the numerous workspaces, two quiet zones and modern IT equipment. Copying, scanning and printing options are also available in the library.

Foreign language center and courses
There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish, Dutch, Modern Greek, Norwegian. Students may participate in the programme of the Ruhr University Bochum.

Special features regarding university sports
The university does not have its own sports programme. The University of Health Sciences Bochum cooperates with the neighbouring Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) as part of the university sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. "Bochum University Sports" offers students of the University of Health Sciences Bochum a range of sports activities that include courses and sports groups in around 95 sports as well as the UNIFIT gym of Ruhr University Bochum.
