Special features regarding the library

Locations: The library is located on the ZF campus of Zeppelin University and is a freely accessible library with 24-hour access for students and employees, seven days a week.; Stock: Around 280,000 media (including around 62,500 printed books, 214,000 e-books); 19 online full-text databases; Various online journal packages; Approx. 100 individual subscriptions to trade journals and newspapers.; Services: The library considers itself an academic information centre, is based on the current requirements of research and teaching and is a service provider for students, teaching staff and external interested parties. As a place of learning, it offers pleasant learning workspaces in 3 reading rooms, a research room, a loud room and a Master's room as well as training courses on research and information literacy. Approximately 90% of the resources are systematically made freely accessible and can be borrowed, 10% belong to the reference-only stock. The key texts ensure that the most important media items are always accessible for seminars.

Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic. Other foreign languages at the students' request.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students may participate in the sports programme of Ravensburg Cooperative State University, Friedrichshafen. Participation is free of charge. Cooperation with the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, for example basketball, football, badminton and other sports. Partnership with the local sports club VFB Friedrichshafen, where students can participate in various departments and sports. Participation in the Euromasters in Vallendar, the Snowdays in Bolzano and the Royal Cup in Maastricht. The regions around Lake Constance and the Alps offer all outdoor sports and an excellent infrastructure of sports facilities. Sports: In close cooperation with local sports clubs such as VFB Friedrichshafen and PSG Friedrichshafen, ZU university sport offers a wide range of different sports, including fencing, basketball, tennis, marathons, ski & mountain sports, water sports, rowing and sailing.
