Special features regarding university sports

The university does not have its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel through a fee-based administration agreement between the higher education institutions on the terms for the university students. Participation is subject to fees. The sports programme is generally also open to students of the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel and Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design. The sports programme at University of Applied Sciences Kiel is organized by the sports department of AStA. Tasks are undertaken in a sports office established for this purpose. All sports activities of the campus on the east bank are coordinated here. A budget is available to cover the cost of preparation of the course programme, hall hire and the instructor fees.
