Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. In addition to the Technical University, students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of four other universities: Freie Universität (FU), Humboldt University of Berlin (HUB), Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HTW) and Berlin University of Technology (BHT). Participation is subject to fees. The sports programme of the TU Berlin is open to students of all higher education institutions in Berlin within the framework of a cooperation agreement. The TU Berlin actively promotes a dual career within the partnership "elite sports partner university" with Berlin Olympic centre (OSP). The TU Berlin owns and maintains its own sports facilities, although there is no faculty with sports science content. The university sports centre is actively involved in occupational health promotion for employees and students. Sports: The university sports centre of TU Berlin offers approximately 160 sports from the fields of ball sports and games, fitness, health, martial arts, dance and movement, water sports and individual sports.
